Little Actions, Information and Union as a Motto to Start to Save the Earth.

South America Group.
Week 2: “We have no more time. What we can do for save the Earth when politics doesn’t react?”

Little actions,
Information and Union as a Motto to Start to Save the Earth.

Our planet is suffering of so many environmental problems, floods, heavy rains, temperatures rising constantly are the common ones being heard nowadays.

Many people just claim that politics doesn’t react, and in so many cases this is just a sad truth. But just staying in our homes arguing about what politicians should do or not, won’t help a lot. The real change starts with everyone doing something for what they believe, for what they want.

And so, you can ask what the solution is?

First of all, information. People should know more about problems in their countries and the actions being held to solve them. A huge part of the society just sees the problem and complains knowing just a little part or nothing about them, and that won’t lead problems to a real solution. Information is also important because people thinks that helping the earth concerns a huge effort, something big that just one person can’t do, when the reality is another.

Little actions count every day. Imagine how many trees can be saved just by recycling paper, how many water we can save by closing properly our griffins. We are millions, little actions multiplied by millions is more than big. A page called 50 ways to help - http://www.50waystohelp.com/ - numbers 50 little actions we can carry on every day.  Are there only 50? Of course not, it’s just a simple guide to take the first step to be a responsible person.

Union. When politics doesn’t react, are the people who should make them work. United people. Politicians won’t hear one citizen, but what about if we all get together. Taking care of the earth shouldn’t be an option. Of course we can make the difference by little actions, but little actions like recycling can’t be carry on without a government hand behind. We shouldn’t get used to see environmental politics not working.

As a summary, information will lead us to be more responsible, and union will make our voices louder. Little actions help, but they are not the only help we need.
